FANTASTIC FROGS!
THINK
Have you been hearing Frogs croaking or singing in the evening lately? There are many different types of frogs. The bullfrog is the largest of all the frogs in North America. Some frogs can grow to be over 2 lbs! In places where there are no natural predators, bullfrogs can grow and thrive.
Bullfrogs are AMPHIBIANS and need to live near the water. When it is warm and rainy outside, bullfrogs can move around and you can see them most anywhere there are puddles or small streams. Bullfrogs will eat almost anything they can fit in their mouth—even other bullfrogs! Did you know that groups of bull frogs are called armies? Read about the lifecycle of bull frogs here. PLAN
This week in art we will learn about LINE and SHAPE, so that we can draw a frog in its habitat. Your frog should take up most of the space of the paper and be sitting on a lily pad!
You will need paper, a drawing pencil, crayons, markers and any kind of paint, a brush and water. If you do not have paint, that is fine. You may use other materials to add color to your drawing. CREATE
